This workshop is delivered over 2 online sessions for Parents and Carers of school age children and has a focus on Blackpool.

Our sessions will be delivered online - all you need is a PC/laptop and wi-fi.

Aims:

To help parents and carers understand what resilience is and consider their own resilience, in order to support building their children’s resilience too.

Objectives:

• Introduce the idea of resilience
• Learn about the 5 key factors that promote resilience
• Think and talk about links between parent and child resilience
• Learn ways parents can put resilience into practice
• Have some ideas of practical activities you can use with your children
• Be encouraged to take care of yourself
• Meet other parents who might be good support for you in the future
• Learn about support services that can help you and your child be more resilient. 
There will be reflection on the impact of COVID-19 during the workshop.  
Please make a note of the course title, code and date - these are needed for the application form. Only one application need by entering the date of the first session and you will automatically be registered to attend both sessions,
